History of EFT
I am so excited to share with you the History of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), otherwise known as "Tapping". EFT Tapping is a self-soothing, stress-relief technique that can also help you upgrade your mindset and let go of physical pain.
New to Tapping? EFT 101
Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), is a powerful tool for managing and releasing emotional distress. It involves gently tapping on specific acupressure points on the body while focusing on a particular issue or emotion. This process helps to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote emotional healing. Tapping works by sending signals to the part of the brain that controls the stress response, effectively disarming it and allowing you to release negative emotions and thoughts. It's a simple, non-invasive technique that can be done anywhere, making it accessible for everyone.
Learn the Tapping Points
Here is a video where you can learn the tapping points with Steph & you can see diagram below as well.
How to start Tapping for Yourself without a Practitioner
In this video, I will share how to approach tapping for yourself if you are not quite ready to work with a practitioner or to support yourself between sessions and tapping videos with a practitioner. Tapping for yourself is a wonderful tool to honor your emotions and feel better in just minutes. Don't be shy, just give it a try!
How to Prepare for an EFT session with a Practitioner
If you are interested in working 1-on-1 with an EFT practitioner, be sure to watch this video so you can get the most out of your session.
Why do we focus on the negative with EFT?
While the primary goal of EFT is to bring about emotional freedom and inner peace, we actually need to tap on the "negative' emotions during the tapping process in order to acknowledge them and clear them out of the body, mind and spirit. It is kind of like pulling weeds in the garden. Not to worry, we want to release these "negative' emotions so that positivity flows freely again. And of course, Steph likes to add in some positive tapping at the end of every tapping video!
